Tasting Visits by appointment only.
On Saturdays we accept a limited number of private appointments — call us at (804) 476-0883 or email info@mountaltovineyards.com to schedule a visit. Visitors will be treated to a complementary tasting as well as tour of vineyards, however, please be aware that we do not operate a formal tasting room. We positively adore the opportunity to meet people, show off our vineyards, and share our wine, but Mount Alto Vineyards is not your every day winery experience, see below for more on “What to Expect”.

Our address is 10436 Howardsville Turnpike, Esmont Virginia, and the driveway has a private road sign labeled “Kingston Lane”.
Wine Order Pickup
We will be at the vineyard from 10:00am to 12:00 noon on Saturdays from March-October (other times, call for an appointment). See below for directions. Please call or text us ahead of time at (804) 476-0883 and we will be looking for you.
What to Expect
A few things before you visit: As Mount Alto Vineyards is an agricultural operation first and foremost, our focus is on the art and science of wine-growing, and our accommodations reflect that focus: they are spartan, to say the least. We can show visitors our vineyards, talk about our approach to farming and wine, and provide some wine to taste. If this type of experience is appealing, we would be delighted to find a time to meet you. We have an uphill driveway that is fit for a rural farm, so if your vehicle doesn’t have good traction you're best to park at the bottom, it's only a short walk to where we will greet you. We farm our tails off and we think it shows in the wine, and we’d love to share it with you.
